Who we are
Apexia Labs is part of Apexia Group Limited (company number 15832514), Suite V, Wharton Park House, Nat Lane, Winsford, Cheshire CW7 3BS.
Apexia Group Limited is the “data controller” for this website. That just means we’re the company responsible for looking after your details. You can contact us at info@apexialabs.co.uk or on 0161 399 2961.
What we collect
When you fill in our form to book a free savings check, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your type of business, if you choose to tell us;
- anything you write in the message box, if you choose to.
We also note which page of our website you sent the form from, and when.
We never ask for bills, passwords, logins or detailed financial information through this website. Please don’t include them in the form.
How we use it
We use your details to get back to you, arrange your free savings check, and follow up about it.
The law needs us to give a reason for using your details (a “lawful basis”). Ours is that you’ve asked us to contact you, so it’s in both our interests that we do (“legitimate interests”), and it’s a step you’ve asked for before any agreement between us.
We won’t add you to marketing emails because you filled in this form. If we’d ever like to send you anything else, we’ll ask first, or give you a clear way to say no, as UK data protection and electronic marketing rules require.
If you go ahead with a deeper look at your costs
If you choose to share more about your costs, we’ll agree with you in writing what’s needed, how it’s shared safely, who can see it and how long we keep it. That’s handled separately, not through this website.
Who else handles your details
We don’t sell your details to anyone. We use a small number of trusted companies to run this website, and they only use your details on our instructions:
- our website hosting provider;
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), which sends our emails;
- our own email provider, where your enquiry arrives.
Website visit statistics
We use Plausible Analytics, run on our own Apexia servers, to count visits and see which pages are popular and whether the form is being used. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other websites, and doesn’t collect information that identifies you personally.
Cookies and spam protection
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If your browser can’t run our form normally, we may set one short-lived cookie when you send the form, so we can show you whether it worked. It isn’t used for anything else.
To stop spam, the form uses Apexia Captcha, our own spam check, which runs on Apexia servers. When you tick the box, your browser solves a small puzzle in the background. It doesn’t set tracking cookies or build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any work that follows. If your enquiry doesn’t lead to any work, we delete it after 24 months, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or stop using them. Just email info@apexialabs.co.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (the UK’s data protection regulator) at ico.org.uk.
